The multiplayer issues that have plagued Halo: The Master Chief Collection since it launched last November continue, even though 343 Industries has released patch after patch trying to fix these issues with the Halo collection. This time, the issues forced the cancellation of the ESL Halo Championship Series this past weekend due to multiplayer connectivity issues.
We’re aware of and investigating party joinability issues. As a result, we’ll be canceling HCS Cup #1, and apologize for the inconvenience.

Teams from across North America had signed for the tournament in hopes of being able to compete in the HCS Cup bracket tournament this past Sunday. Reaction to the cancellation was largely sarcastic.

Wait MCC doesn’t work? Damn and it’s been such a fun and functional game since launch. What a bummer. @Halo

@Halo You’ve been investigating those since launch. When are you actually going to fix it?
