If you missed last week’s “Where is Xur and what is he selling?”, you missed out on getting the “Curse of Osiris” exotic tracer rifle, Prometheus Lens. Thanks to the HotFix 1.1.1.1 update, the gun has been nerfed, so don’t expect to easily beat people in PVP again. More on Destiny 2 news, Bungie announced that The Dawning is making a return, which will include new gear, a snowball fight area at the Tower and the Farm, and Mayhem is being brought back to the Crucible. That all starts next week Tuesday, December 19th and will go until Tuesday, January 9th, 2018.
Xur is at a new location today, but familiar to those who have played the first Destiny game. The location of Xur this week is the Tower over by Arach Jalaal in the Hanger. Of course, you can always track Xur too if you don’t want to run around guessing where he’s at. Two new items have arrived today with Xur, Fated Engrams, which will give you an exotic gear that you don’t already have and Three of Coins that will increase exotic items for four hours.

- Fated Engram – 97 Legendary Shards
- DARCI (Sniper Rifle) – 29 Legendary Shards
- Hallowfire Heart (Chest Armor) for Titan Class – 23 Legendary Shards
- Celestial Nighthawk (Helmet) for Hunter Class – 23 Legendary Shards
- Eye of Another World (Helmet) for Warlock Class – 23 Legendary Shards
- Three of Coins – 31 Legendary Shards
Weapon: DARCI Sniper Rifle
DARCI has been sold by Xur before, so if you have it already you can skip it. The Personal Assistant perk will, when active, provide better target acquisition and deals more precision damage.
Titan Gear: Hallowfire Heart (Chest Armor)
With the main perk Sunfire Furnace, it’ll improve the recharge rate of your Solar ability while Hammer of Sol is charged. Another add-on is that Solar melee abilities will charge faster. So, if you’re one to be up close and personal, you can get this to help you out.
Hunter Gear: Celestial Nighthawk (Helmet)
Celestial Nighthawk is coming over from the first Destiny game, so if you’re in need of adding this to your collection, here’s your chance. The Hawkeye Hack perk modifies Golden Gun to fire a single, high damage shot. Enemies who are eliminated by a shot will explode.
Warlock Gear: Eye of Another World (Helmet)
Eye of Another World is a good helmet to have as the perk Cerebral Uplink will highlight priority targets and improve the regeneration speed of your grenade, melee, and rift abilities.
As always, these exotic items have a power level of 297 (base 292 with +5 mod) so for those with a lower power level than most, this should help you out.
