This is exciting news! New Harry Potter LEGO sets are coming out and memories of my childhood are coming back from when I built my first Harry Potter LEGO sets way back in the day. I remember having the Hogwarts Castle and other sets that would connect to it like the Chamber of Secrets or Hagrid’s Hut, the Hogwarts Express, and more. Unfortunately, back in 2011, the LEGO brick version of the franchise disappeared never to be seen again until now.
In the second half of 2018, yes this year, new Harry Potter LEGO sets are being released starting out with The Great Hall in Hogwarts Castle. More sets will be coming out with the original franchise and for Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. As you can see, the original characters are also brought back too like none other than Mr. Harry Potter himself, with his best friends Ron Weasely and Hermione Granger. Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, Draco Malfoy, and others will also be included in the set.
Considering this is the first set that will be coming out this year, other smaller sets that may be released could let you build upon Hogwarts Castle/Great Hall and create your favorite scenes from the movies. The Great Hall will be out on August 1st, 2018 with a price of $99.99 and other sets will be out later this year and next.
It’s only natural that there are new HP sets coming out because of Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them, but you would think making LEGO sets to go with that specific movie would be smart.
