FH3 #Forzathon March 23-29: Time to “Play in the Mud”

Another week, another #Forzathon event! After celebrating spring last weekend (which still feels more like winter depending on where you are), it’s time to hop in an offroader and “Play in the Mud” to complete a mix of challenges in the weekly Forza Horizon 3 #Forzathon event. The FH3 #Forzathon March 23-29th event gives you a chance to pick up the usual Credits, XP, and Wheelspins as well as the Halo Warthog if you missed it during previous events. In case you missed the update a few weeks ago, it’s also playable in 4K 30fps glory after the recent Xbox One X Enhanced patch for all you Xbox One X owners out there.

This FH3 #Forzathon event started today, March 23rd, at 12:01 a.m. PT and closes at 11:59 pm PT on March 22nd so you have until the wee hours of March 30th (depending on your time zone) in order to complete the challenges.

Check out the complete task list and rewards below:

  • Right Behind You: Perform 20 Draft Skills to earn 35,000XP
  • Large Headlights: Complete 2 Street Races in an Extreme Offroad Vehicle to win the Warthog
  • Never a Boar: Win a Race in the Warthog to receive 55,000 CR
  • When Hogs Fly: Get at least 2 Stars on the Westpoint Danger Sign in the Warthog to win 3 Wheelspins

Despite the name of the event, the first challenge can be done with any vehicle. However, if you hop into an Extreme Offroad Vehicle and filter events to Street Races, you may be able to get the 20 Draft Skills during the two events you’ll need to do to win the Warthog. I wouldn’t expect to win these and thankfully you only have to complete them to snag the free vehicle this week.

Once you have the Warthog  — or if you already have it from a previous event — you can finish up the next two. You’ll have to win a race to get the 55,000 CR which shouldn’t be too hard if you limit it to the Extreme Offroad category. Getting 2 stars on the Westpoint Danger Sign might be a bit trickier but at least you don’t have to three star it. You can find it near Westpoint Tower in the construction zone on the east side of the map. The max you can auto-upgrade the Warthog too is A-class (800) but there are some tunes that will get you to S1-class (802) which drops the weight slightly if you don’t want to manually tune it yourself. To two star it, you’ll have to hit just over 105 meters. I tried a few times with A-class and failed but got it the second go with the S1-class tune.

What do you think about the “Wearing Green” FH3 #Forzathon event? Are you still playing Forza Horizon 3 on a regular basis or has your focus shifted to Forza Motorsport 7? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+Twitter, or Facebook.
