Earlier this month, rumours started swirling around a combined Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass subscription dubbed Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Today, on Inside Xbox, Larry Hryb (a.k.a. Major Nelson) confirmed that the new subscription service includes Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass and will cost US$14.99 a month.

As mentioned in the tweet above, the new combined subscription will include both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold at a slightly reduced rate. With the new Ultimate service, you’ll get access to online gaming, additional discounts on purchases, and five free games a month with Games with Gold, as well as access to over 100 Xbox One, Xbox 360, and classic Xbox games on Xbox Game Pass.
A limited number of Xbox Insiders will get access to test the new subscription service over the next little while before the service launches later this year. When it does launch, it will be available in all markets that Xbox Game Pass is currently available in.
