I’ve never done a formal movie review in any part of my writing career, and I’m not about to start now. No, what you’re going to read is an informal review from an informal point of view. You see, I went to view the new Michael Bay directed movie, Transformers Age Of Extinction Thursday night and I went to be  entertained.

If there’s one piece of technology my wife likes around the house its a label printer. We label bins, cables, school supplies, kids cups, and a variety of other things. By today’s standards a basic label printer isn’t considered a high tech gadget, but once you pair that label printer via Bluetooth and a smartphone app, then you got something worthy to call techy. Meet the Epson LW-600P Bluetooth Label Printer. A compact, versatile bluetooth connected smart label printer. Let’s run down some of the key features real quick.

Celestron NexStar Evolution 8 Review

(From Holland: This review comes from my friend, and Astronomer Mike Fowler of Orange County Telescope. As one of Celestron’s top resellers in the US, Mike was able to get an early hands-on with the new NexStar Evolution 8″ telescope. Below are his thoughts on it. Enjoy!)

Moon-4555

Evolution… a natural transformation over the course of time produced by an organism’s efforts to respond to its environment. The aptly named Celestron NexStar Evolution embodies what a telescope should be in 2014; a self-powered instrument with built-in WiFi that can be controlled by a smartphone or tablet, and have the ability to tour the Universe at the tap of a finger. But does the Evolution work as advertised; and what about the SkyPortal app, does it combine with the telescope to provide a seamless, exploratory experience?

The Regular Guy Review: Lenovo Miix 2 8 Windows Tablet

Lenovo-Miix

Anybody can rattle off a bunch of hardware specs and benchmarks.  Not many people start battery run-down tests for fun.  I try to take a different approach when it comes to hardware reviews: what’s it like to use the darn thing?  Will you run into issues doing the things you’d expect to do with a device?  With that in mind, I’d like to welcome you to the second installment of the Techaeris Regular Guy Review.  Please keep reading for the Regular Guy Review of the Lenovo Miix 2 8 Windows Tablet.

Wireless charging has come a long way over the past year. Phones like the Nexus 5 have improved their efficiency at wireless charging and third party charging solutions are vastly better. Draco-1-Powerbank

Quick Review: Draco Ducati 5000mAh Powerbank

Draco-1-Powerbank

Draco Designs makes some of the most beautiful aluminum bumpers on the market and after a few bumper reviews they sent along their 5000mAh Ducati Powerbank. First off this powerbank is beautifully designed. Just like their great bumpers, the Ducati Powerbank is made of A6061 aircraft grade aluminum. Inspired by Ducati’s 1199 Panigale superbike, the Powerbank is designed with a stylish aluminum case that incorporates core racing elements from Ducati.

Review: Supernova S5 Aluminum Bumper For Galaxy S5

Draco-Supernova-9

Draco Designs is no stranger to Techaeris or, for that matter, to my hands. I’ve reviewed their awesome products before, and when they sent me their Supernova S5 for the Samsung GS5 I knew I was getting something special. Before we get too deep into the review I will say this, as I always say before reviewing something of this caliber…this bumper is high quality, and it comes with a higher cost than other bumpers.  If you’re not prepared to spend a little money, then this is probably not the bumper for you. Now on with the show.

Take To The Skies: Dragons And Titans, A MOBA From WyrmByte

Dragons-Wallpaper

First things first, this review is going to assume a certain level of knowledge of the MOBA genre. I am intentionally not getting mired down with the minutia that is shared between practically every title in the category. If you are unfamiliar with these types of games, I would recommend reading up here, before proceeding further into this review.

Leo's Fortune iOS Gameplay

Leo’s Fortune follows the story of Leo, a small little fur ball with a mustache and what seems like a Russian accent. Review: Orpheus Music Player (Android)

orpheus-logoIf you’ve ever gone looking for a new music player for your Android smartphone or tablet, you’ll know that the Google Play Store is cluttered with hundreds upon hundreds of apps in that category. Less than half of them are worth your taps, and less than half of those are worth the price they ask for. Orpheus Music Player, however, is worth every single cent of the 99 cents you’ll pay for it, and then some!
