Google Buys .app Domain For $25 Million

I dream of a web no longer full of .com and .uk domains, instead full of a variety of top level domains (TLD). Think about it, we could visit amazon.shop, greg.morris, tech.aeris or even google.android! With the release of new TLD’s we got a step closer, but you can forget buying a .app domain for your beloved developer account before someone like Google buys them all, because you’re already too late.

Dead Drops: File Sharing As Art

Four years ago Aram Bartholl cemented a USB drive into a brick wall. He wasn’t plotting to overthrow the government or hiding some nefarious files that would land him in jail – it was art. A public art project titled “Dead Drops”, designed to “create an anonymous, offline file-sharing network in public spaces” – but pretty much just to see what would happen.
