Samsung Electro-Mechanics has formed a partnership with PowerbyProxi to further research and develop of wireless charging and wireless power solutions for consumer electronics and home appliances. PowerbyProxi has also received $4 million in funding from Samsung Ventures Investment Corporation.
Delta Shelling Out Microsoft Surface 2 Tablets to 11,000 Pilots
Delta announced they are giving all of their 11,000 pilots a Microsoft Surface 2 tablet. The initial plan is to replace the pilots paper based flight kits where they keep their navigation charts and operations manuals.

Canon, Samsung, HP And Xerox Launch Mopria Alliance
Some rather interesting news over the weekend, Canon, Samsung, HP and Xerox have formed the Mopria Alliance a global non-profit membership organization formed to promote, simplify and increase accessibility of wireless printing from smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices. Canon’s press release said the following about this alliance.
Kia Quoris Slated For 2014 U.S. Release
Looks like Kia is going to make a run at the luxury market by introducing the Kia Quoris in 2014. The Quoris has only been available in Korea and the Middle East where it goes by the name K9. The exact specifications of the Quoris have not been released but it is aiming for the luxury slot so we would expect it to have quiet a few high end features.
Sherwin-Williams Releases ColorSnap Google Glass App

Sherwin-Williams becomes the first major consumer brand to launch a Google Glass Application. The application was developed by Resource, one of the largest independent marketing agencies in the country. The app is available for download to your Google Glass but is still in beta and will likely have a few bugs and issues that will need to be ironed out.

The Real Cost Of Pirated Apps
I remember getting my first smartphone that used real and true mobile applications, the iPhone 3G. It didn’t take me long to find the jailbreak community and start modifying my phone to whatever extent I could. It was a fun time. True smartphone apps were in their infancy, but growing and maturing fast. It was also a time that my naivete was ripe. I really had no clue what it takes to develop mobile apps (or any application for that matter).
