Every time you turn around, it seems like another Angry Birds game or product is launched. Recently Rovio launched Angry Birds: Stella, and Angry Birds: Transformers is due out later this month. However, it appears that interest in the Angry Birds franchise is finally waning as Rovio announced it is axing 16% of its labor force by laying off 130 employees.

Google May Face $100 Million Dollar Lawsuit For Celebrity Nude Photos Hack

Marty Singer of L.A.-based law firm Lively & Singer is threatening Google with a $100 million dollar lawsuit over the celebrity nude photo leaks that were recently in the news. The Toronto Sun reports that Singer is representing several women (no names were disclosed) whose nude photos were leaked online due to their Apple accounts being brute forced attacked.

At first you might think, “PowerPoint…?” No, this new app is called Sway. The idea behind this app is that you can almost instantly turn anything you have in writing, pictures, and, well, anything really, into something presentable, pretty much right then and there. The app should be available for iOS soon, followed by Andriod and Windows at a later date.

Facebook’s Chief Product Officer Apologizes For ‘Real Name’ Crackdown

In a (fittingly) Facebook post earlier today, Facebook’s Chief Product Officer, Chris Cox, offered a sincere apology for their implementation and recent stringent enforcement of their “real name” policy.  If you don’t remember, the accounts of quite a few drag queens, and other members of the LGBT community were flagged and banned due to the use of a stage name, or performance name rather than their real name.  For anyone who’s entire life exists as a pseudonym, this was an especially troubling move.  Conveniently, right around this same time, the “Anti-Facebook” Social Network Ello started popping up and happily accepting any and all who felt betrayed by Facebook (before going to an invite system due to increased popularity).  You can read Mr. Cox’s heart-felt response below.

Verizon Grandfathered Unlimited Data Users Will Not Be Throttled

Verizon has been throwing around the idea of throttling its users who were grandfathered in with an unlimited data plan after a certain amount of data usage. You can imagine this brought forth a storm of protest seeing as people are paying for unlimited and expect unlimited. Even FCC chairman Tom Wheeler commented that Verizon’s choice to throttle these users was “disturbing”.
