Public Transportation Gets Greener, Quieter In Geneva, Switzerland

Public Transportation is a great way to reduce pollution and traffic by reducing the number of cars on the road.  Hybrid buses reduce emissions even further.  While it is possible to find electric powered public transportation, most systems require cables, or tracks of some kind which require infrastructure, maintenance, and higher up-front costs.  Engineers in Geneva, Switzerland think they have solved those issues with a new pilot program called Trolleybus Optimisation Système Alimentation, or TOSA.

Chicago Wins Bid For The George Lucas Museum

We’ve previously discussed Chicago’s attempts at luring the George Lucas Museum to the city.  Well, the wooing worked.  It turns out that the Windy City will in fact host the upcoming Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.  A spot on the city’s Museum Campus along Lake Michigan was a strong deciding factor in choosing Chicago over San Fransisco.

Two Russian Hackers Arrested In Conjunction With iPhone Ransomware

The Hacker News reports that two young hackers from Russia have been arrested following an investigation into recent cyber attacks against iPhone owners.  These attacks mostly affected users in Australia and New Zealand, and used a phishing scheme to gain user account information.  After gaining this information, the hackers took advantage of Apple’s Find My iPhone feature to lock down users’ devices.

Alex and I had the opportunity to speak with Rachel Valentine – Community Manager for ZUUL Labs.  ZUUL currently has their first game in Kickstarter, Tall Tails.  We posted a preview of Tall Tails last week, and it was great getting to talk to Rachel about the game’s progress.  As it stands right now, Tall Tails is 53% funded, with just over $80k of their requested $150k pledged with just under a week left.  We’d like to thank Rachel for chatting with us during what is a certainly a very busy time for her, and all of ZUUL Labs.

Turtle Beach Announces Elite Series Headsets, Elite Membership
